Sunday 6 May 2018 AM - Ashleigh Latter - How Deep Is the Ocean?
May 05, 2018 11:59 PM PDT

Ashleigh loves oceans. She begins with some fascinating facts about our oceans and what's in them. You won't believe how much gold there is in the oceans! Of course, the illustration serves to tell us just how much deeper God is. This message is about knowing God - Proverbs 2:1-2. Ashleigh also takes us into deep space. She introduces us to a video clip - don't skip this bit, as it's the audio track that counts. The stars make real music! All the earth can praise God.

How to know the depth of God more:

1. Less about knowing more and more about seeing more.
Look around and see God: Romans 1:19-20, Psalm 19:1-4, Proverbs 3:19-20.

2, Less about intellect, more about dialect.
Talk to God: 1 Kings 3:9, Luke 11:52, Proverbs 18:15.

3. Less about exploring God, more about exploring me.
Because, when we are born again God dwells within us: Philippians 1:6, Colossians 2:13.

The worship team takes us out by joining in with the music of the stars and whales .....

Sunday 29 April 2018 AM - Ps Mark Riddell - How To Stop Being Stupid
April 29, 2018 02:53 AM PDT

Ps Mark begins with a quick recap of last week's "Expand Your Capacity - There Is More In You". He points out that many of us have a ceiling in our life that holds us down and that we cannot break through it ..... yet. That can be a good thing as a resistance against us can cause us to take actions that will cause an increase in our capacity, strength, and change. What kinds of actions? Ps Mark elaborates at length on:

1. Choose to listen to the right people/wise people.
2. Choose to walk with the right people/wise people.

Ps Mark examines numerous verses from Proverbs that warn us about wrong company and listening to wrong things. Sociologists are saying that we are the sum total of the five most meaningful relationships in our life? Who are mine? Who are yours?

This is an insightful look at how we can break through our 'ceiling' and grow to be who God created us to be.

Sunday 22 April 2018 AM - Ps Mark Riddell - Expand Your Capacity - There Is More In You
April 22, 2018 03:07 AM PDT

Ps Mark starts by discussing long distance running and the concept of 'hitting the wall'. This occurs around 40km but ..... at that time you have only used up 60% of your ability. There is more in you! You need to Expand Your Capacity in order to fulfil what Gods wants you to do.

Ps Mark describes some negative aspects of not being able to achieve your full capacity. he leads on to Matthew 15:29-37, the feeding of the 4000, and Luke 9:12-14, the feeding of the 4000. These describe what happens when we expand our capacity. Ps Mark lists three aspects of your growth you need to be able to Expand Your Capacity:

1. Expand your circle: compassion, concern, responsibility.
Who do you actually care about? How large is your circle of compassion and concern? How deep are you?

2. Own what you have.

3. Stop living for yourself and start living for others.

Apart from all the great help and advice, this message has a really exciting ending ..... don't miss it! All Biblical, too!

Sunday 15 April 2018 AM - Ps Hugh Perry - Lightning Rod
April 15, 2018 12:16 AM PDT

Today Ps Hugh discusses the Presence and Power of God. God is omnipresent ..... but there are times when He just Turns Up! We can be a Lightning Rod to draw that presence and power into our lives. Ps Hugh commences with the story of Moses and the Burning Bush (Exodus 3:1-17). Moses was directly in the presence of God. That encounter changed not only Moses' life but that of a whole nation. Ps Hugh shows us the pathway that allows us to enter that presence, beginning with a full heart grasp of God's grace.

Scriptures: Exodus 33:12-23, Isaiah 6:1-8, Hebrews 10:19-22. Ps Hugh shows us how these can encourage us to boldy enter into the presence of God. Isn't that what we all long for?

Sunday 8 April 2018 AM - Michael Bowen - When God Sends You ..... Success or Failure?
April 07, 2018 11:42 PM PDT

In this message Michael carries out an exegesis on the stories Gideon and Jonah:

- They were called by God to be sent out.
- Neither thought they were capable.
- God showed them that they were.
- Did they obey without hesitation?
- .....

We all want to obey God. Listen and be encouraged by the great stories of Bible heroes and Michael's enthusiastic presentation.

Sunday 1 April 2018 AM - Ps Mark Riddell - This Is Amazing Grace - Part 5: God's Love Pursues
April 01, 2018 02:50 AM PDT

Happy Easter! This message is a great choice to end this series with. There are usually visitors who may only attend at Easter and they get an opportunity to hear the Gospel in a nutshell. Ps Mark begins with 1 John 4: 8-10 "..... God is love. This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." This is what Easter is all about! Then John 3:16 .....

"16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Ps Mark subtly points out that this verse starts with God and ends up with us. The middle bit is Jesus - Jesus is the bridge between us and God! Ps Mark then covers a number of aspects of all this, including .....

- God's love is high, wide and deep (Ephesians 3:18-19)
- It's a gift we receive simply by believing.
- It is for All people (Titus 2:11)
- Hell, heaven, how to get to either!

This is a great Gospel message that we can use for family and friends, succinct and to the point ..... and anointed.

Sunday 25 April 2018 AM - Michael Bowen - This Is Amazing Grace - Part 4: The Throne of Grace
March 25, 2018 04:26 AM PDT

Palm Sunday! One week to Easter! Michael commences by reading Luke 19:34-on to remind us of several aspects of Palm Sunday. Only a short time before, Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead. He wept over Jerusalem. There were many other miracles - God's grace everywhere. God's undeserved favour towards mankind. We all need it, we can't earn it, it's freely given, and is abundant.

Then on to Psalm 89:14, The Throne of Grace! From the Hebrews in the wilderness to Jesus' first miracle of turning water into wine and then on, Michael shows us that God's grace is everywhere and that it is motivated by love. Listen to see how God's grace has an effect on us all day, every day .....

Sunday 18 March 2018 AM - Ps Katrina Ollis - This Is Amazing Grace - Part 3: How To Provision Our Hearts
March 18, 2018 12:03 AM PDT

The full Title this week is actually "How to Provision Our Hearts Ready to Receive God's Amazing Grace". Sometimes God's grace is there but we miss it. Ps Katrina leads us through some real-life testimonies and some biblical testimonies of how it is sometimes difficult to receive God's grace because of the dreadful circumstances that we are going through.

Ps Katrina begins with testimonies from her own life. Notably, how she 'lost' her four-week-old daughter three times! Yep! But God's grace was upon the situation each time.

Next is the testimony of a very romantic meeting, marriage, and life that suddenly turned to tragedy. The scriptures were always there for support no matter what the situation. And God's grace was available.

Next, we hear some different aspects of the well-known story from John 11 regarding Lazarus, Martha, and Mary. Ps Katrina well demonstrates how God does things in his own time in order to deliver his Amazing Grace. Throughout all this, the key is to continue to believe in Jesus no matter what.

Be encouraged by these testimonies and this great message.

Sunday 11 March 2018 AM - Ps Hugh Perry - This Is Amazing Grace - Part 2: They Are Not Like Us But .....
March 11, 2018 04:04 PM PDT

Ps Hugh begins with a quick testimony of how he was saved and immediately joined a Connect Group. It changed his whole life, him never looking back. He then discusses how the Presence of God can cause amazing things to happen, using the dedication of Solomon's Temple from 2 Chronicles 7 to illustrate the mighty Power and Presence of God on that occasion. And what about the Presence of God in these following examples? .....

Acts 26:1-19, the story of Saul's conversion. These things we know about that:

- Saul was a Jew who was highly educated in the Scriptures (Old Testament).
- He passionately loved God and wanted to serve Him faithfully.
- He genuinely believed Jesus and Christians were the enemies of God.
- In his zeal, he persecuted, hunted down, and killed many of them.
- Then the Power and Presence of God were revealed to Saul in a mighty way.
- He instantly repented and was transformed and became a zealous servant of Jesus.

Now re-read the above with the following substitutions .....

Saul = Rashid; Jew = Muslim; Old Testament = Koran ..... Yes, indeed, a true story (with all the names of the real people) of a Saul-like perfect parallel! Ps Hugh also mentions some other similar conversions. They all have something in common:

- They did NOT deserve God's attention.
- They were behaving out of God's design for them.
- If we met someone like them, we would likely not want anything to do with them and, in fact, might depart as fast as we could.
- And we would judge them.

Listen and see how Ps Hugh continues the message and how we can react better to people we might otherwise judge and dismiss. God's Amazing Grace!

Sunday 4 March 2018 AM - Chris Shadbolt - To The Nations
March 04, 2018 02:13 AM PST

"To The Nations" is Chris Shadbolt's international missions ministry. Chris begins the message with his testimony ..... 21 years ago God called Chris, an Australian, by using Matthew 4:19. In an instant, both Chris and his whole life were transformed. One year later he was in Africa and has never left. God has also spoken plainly and specifically to Chris with Luke 5:8-11 and Isaiah 6:5-8. He has been living permanently in Zambia, Africa, for 20 years, 19 of which he has been in full-time ministry. He currently oversees missions in 5 African countries and wants to soon expand it to 7. It is not for the faint-hearted!

Chris describes numerous testimonies of life and its challenges and trials in the village where he lives and elsewhere, speaking while displaying many photos:

- Mountains of clothes, shoes, blankets and so on, all donated by Australians.
- Hospitals, schools, shops etc, all from similar donations.
- Building unity in villages and cities there.
- Much more .....

Chris bares his soul and describes how, last year, he thought that he had been used up and was of no more value there and he was going to quit. Listen and see how God has done all this and how He will continue to do so. With Chris, not without him .....
